The Audubon Society is an environmental group dedicated to protecting birds and other wildlife. The Society's 500 chapters and 600,000 members, work to sustain and conserve habitat as well as educate others about the environment.

The National Audubon Society was founded in 1905 and named for for John James Audubon, a famous explorer and wildlife artist.
